Taste and See that the Lord is Good Activity

When I originally got this idea I was thinking about Fruit both good and not good fruit to try (I know that seems a bit ick for your palate, but it is one way of getting the learning across. Another way to look at it is when we think negatively that can put out some bad words (there is grace) but when we think truthfully and with faith that puts out good words and fruit. Another way to look at it is when you try a class, you see the good fruit in it, whether you really like it, it truly speaks to you, you hear God in it, or when you join a class and you recognize that something is off. This can also be looked at as Discernment. When we use discernment we are essentially shown the good from the bad.

You can try this activity with fruit if you would like to. My suggestion would be to get a fruit that is something you like and get a fruit you may have not tried before or is not your favorite and have a taste test.

Another way to do this because God has so many ways that are higher than the world's ways, and there isn't one way to do this...go outside what grows near you that's edible? Pick 2 things that grow near you and sample it (get your parents permission to do this). Is it tasty? Is it not? Consider Journaling about your observations.

This idea that's next is inspired by a winter hike where I am staying in a north more point of Vermont than where I was before in October 2023. It first was raining when we got to the trail and after walking the trail in the snow we got to the parking lot and I all of a sudden (which we know is like the child-like part we have in us and an interesting way God speaks to us too) thought hey I'm just gonna stick my tongue out and catch a snowflake and started to taste them one after the other as they fell in my mouth. Then after my daughter came back from her hike with our friend, my daughter went and got some clean clumps of snow and brought them over for us to taste they were good. No we didn't eat the yellow snow! for those who are trying to make that reference right now, and don't you eat it either unless it's pineapple or lemon flavoring haha!

And another way, weather taste. God made snow and rain, consider going outside and having a taste of rain and snow. Is it good? Is it tasty? What does it taste like to you?
